Job Description
Project Management Task (Assisting):
•Liaising and reporting to the Project Management and Design Team.
•Keep track of construction materials & Assist in Good Delivery Notes.
•Purchase Requisition from (assist in cost code)
•Purchasing task for small tools, fittings, fittings, consumable as and when required
•Ensures the timely submission of VO cost
Quantity Surveyor Task (Responsible):
•Liaise with HQ PD on subcontract purchasing and monitoring of packages awarding timeline.
•Review architectural plans and prepare quantity needs for RFQ
•Reviewing tender enquiries and tender analysis for project. Negotiates with respective subcontractors/suppliers to ensure competitive tender and best price being achieved.
•Prepare and draft Purchase Order, Materials Supplies Contracts and Subcontractors Contract Agreement.
•Prepare evaluation of payments for subcontractors and suppliers including site walks, verification, and measurement and evaluate percentage of completion.
•Handling Sub-Contractors re-measurement on site if re-measurable contracts/POs.
•Compiling variations and the variation log and be responsible for all on site variables. Prepare track changes in plans or constructions; update cost, liaise and inform HQ PD. Ensure variations to contract are priced and agreed at the earliest opportunity.
•Prepare cost/value report and liaise with HQ CD and prepare Cash flow forecasting for projects, issuing for incorporation into PM’s monthly reports.
•Preparation, evaluation and agree final account with subcontractors and suppliers.
•Estimate the quantity and costs of materials require for any ad-hoc task.
•Monitoring of contra charges via the NCR log and liaise with HQ PD in contractual notification to Sub-Contractors.
Job Requirement
•Relevant commercial and procurement experience within a Multi Discipline construction organization.
•An analytical bias with the ability to provide solutions to issues
•Well versed in modern commercial management techniques within complex, multi-functional organizations/ project environments
•Understanding of commercial, contractual and financial project drivers
•Understanding of commercial contracting strategies in built environment
•Exhibits a strong awareness of the level of interaction required with the project team function to support the successful delivery of projects
•Good working contractual/legal knowledge
•An understanding of delivery techniques in emerging markets
•Minimum of Degree in an Engineering discipline or equivalent
•Professional membership of an appropriate professional body (e.g. RICS)
