Job Description
• Emails to students, staff and team members within CIA FIRST learning community.
• Manage facilitation of Student Support Services requests to the Principals for approval
• Parent communication regarding Student Support Services concerns.
• Meetings with parents regarding Student Support Services concerns, translating as needed.
• Going to classrooms to call/meet students, staff and team members.
• Translating all documents and confirming translations with Khmer Curriuculum officers.
• Support distribution of progress reports and data analysis of MAP results.
• Listening to concerns of all visitors who come to the Student Support Office and recording them correctly onto the record sheet.
• Clearly communicating necessary information to all SSS team members in a timely manner.
• Organizing meetings, taking meeting minutes, and managing incoming phone calls for SSS team members.
• Help to prepare group counselling sessions, time and set-up google calendar events.
• Assist in workshops/campaigns/interventions and monitioring all reflection periods.
• Help with Data collection on Language Support -focused lesson plans for units to cater for students who receive Language support service.
• Working with the Subject Coordinators to collect data regarding modified Summative assessments and rubrics for LSP students where necessary.
• Data collection regarding all records and cases reported by teachers for all Student Support Services.
• Maintaining accurate records and organizing all Student Support files on Google Drive.
• Working with Student Support Services department to enforce, remind and follow-up on all interventions for referred students.
• Tracking and recording the WIDA MODEL tests results for all new and currently enrolled students
• Supporting the admissions process to determine programme placement within Student Support Services.
• Liaise with the Finance Department to ensure correct information regarding placement is conveyed.
• Collecting and analysing SSS student achievement data to support coordinators in determining intervention needs and effectiveness of interventions.
• Providing SSS-related data to the Principals, SSS Coordinators, Category heads and the FoL Self-study Coordinator.
• Monitoring the input of student achievement data into the Student Information System for SSS students.
• Attending SAP 1 meeting to understand the overall student support agenda.
• Updating transcripts for student meetings with the Career and Guidance Counselor.
• Printing and providing academic records to the Student Support Services team as requested.
• Coordinate with the academic team to ensure representation of the Student Support Services team at Parent Student Teacher Conferences and school events.
• Assist in facilitating university visits and college fairs with CIA FIRST students, including informing security of visitors, permission forms, room bookings and refreshments.
• Assist in the facilitation and organization of internal PD sessions.
Job Requirement
• A Bachelor’s degree in Education or Bachelor’s degree with a Post-graduate Teaching Certificate. Preferably a Master’s Degree in Education.
• Strong command of the English and Khmer Language.
• Additional languages such as Chinese and Korean and preferred.
• Recent criminal police record check certificate.
• He/She has strong commitment to the school’s beliefs about education and the learning process as adopted in the school’s Mission, Vision and SLOs as well as to high standards and expectations for instructors and students
• A Student Support Services Assistant possesses good people leadership skills, organizational skills with attention to detail, strong communication, facilitation, data collection and consensus building skills.
• Profound understanding of the academic standards related to the discipline, including mastery of curriculum design and mapping.
• A sound understanding of 21st Century Skills and Global Competencies and their importance.
• Experience with data-driven improvement planning and cycles of continuous school improvement.
